Netflix and YouTube to come to Nintendo Switch

According to reports, Netflix and YouTube might soon become available on Nintendo Switch. The news should most definitely be confirmed at Nintendo's ongoing annual E3 2018 video game trade show, that will run till June 14 in Los Angeles. Gaming consoles, today, are increasingly being used as entertainment devices and hopefully, this will popularize Switch as a means to stream videos.

    A long-requested Nintendo Switch feature

This was first spotted by a Redditor on US electronics website Best Buy, which had listed Netflix and YouTube as being available on the Nintendo Switch. However, the listing has since been removed. The news, if true, can be a game changer. YouTube and Netflix are popular video platforms in all markets and it is high time they become available on Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Switch isn't a stranger to video streaming services

Nintendo Switch is already compatible with video streaming platform Hulu, which has been available on the gaming console since November last year. However, it is only supported in the US and Japan markets.

Should be easy to bring these apps to Switch

The now-deleted product listing read, "Get access to a world of instant entertainment with this product. Just connect to the Internet and stream movies, listen to music, and access a wide variety of other content." Since this was made public by Best Buy itself, it's most likely that YouTube and Netflix will soon be accessible on the gaming console.

Fortnite comes to the Nintendo Switch

In another news, popular game Fortnite has finally debuted on the Nintendo Switch. According to an official announcement, it is available to download for free starting today.
