Nokia 4.2 to be launched in India tomorrow: Details here

HMD Global is all set to launch its budget-friendly Nokia 4.2 in India tomorrow. To recall, the company had announced this Android One-powered phone in February at Mobile World Congress 2019. The highlights of Nokia 4.2 include its 5.71-inch HD+ notched display, a dedicated Google Assistant button, a power button with a notification light, and entry-level internals. Here's our roundup.

Nokia 4.2 offers a dedicated button for Google Assistant

Nokia 4.2 sports a U-shaped notched display with a slim bottom bezel, a dedicated Google Assistant button, and a power button with notification light. On the rear side, the smartphone features dual camera and a fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the phone comes with a 5.71-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, a 19:9 aspect ratio and HDR support.

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

The Nokia 4.2 houses a dual rear camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) main camera, and a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, the phone comes with an 8MP (f/2.0) single selfie camera. Moreover, the rear camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

    Under the hood

The Nokia 4.2 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor, with 2GB/3GB RAM, and 16GB/32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 400GB). It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android Pie as part of the Android One program. Also, the phone offers all standard sensors and connectivity options including Dual SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and micro-USB 2.0.

And, what will be the pocket pinch

Notably, the details about Nokia 4.2's pricing and availability will be shared by the company in the launch event itself. As of now, no official statement about the pricing has been made by the company. However, going by the entry-level specs, the phone should arrive under Rs. 10,000.
