What's the story

OnePlus has partnered with McLaren to launch a special edition of OnePlus 6T on December 11 in London and December 12 in India. Interestingly, ahead of the unveiling, official renders of the phone have been leaked, revealing its key design features and specifications. The leak suggests a redesigned back panel, 10GB RAM, and a new fast-charging technology called Warp Charge 30. Here's a leak-peek.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition: At a glance

As per the renders, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will feature a redesigned glass back with textured black carbon fiber finish, an orange accent that runs halfway across the phone's frame and a McLaren logo as well. Further, like the regular OnePlus 6T, the McLaren Edition will also feature a 6.41-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340pixels) AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition to retain regular OnePlus 6T's camera

The upcoming OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will sport a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 16MP (f/1.7) main sensor, paired with a 20MP (f/1.7) secondary sensor and LED flash. Up front, this upcoming special variant will offer a 16MP (f/2.0) RGB camera that also assists face unlock feature.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition to get 10GB RAM, Warp fast-charging

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, paired with 10GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Further, the phone will pack a 3,700mAh battery but will come with a new Speed Warp 30 fast-charging technology rather than Dash charge seen on the regular variant. The Speed Warp charging technology is touted to offer a day's charge in 20 minutes.

The top-end OnePlus 6T variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB costs Rs. 45,999 in India. Hence, considering the McLaren Edition packs an extra 2GB of RAM and offers a newer fast-charging technology, we can expect the upcoming flagship to be priced at a premium - around Rs. 48,000. Moreover, the phone is set to launch in India on December 12.
