OpenAI taps Karan Singhal to lead ChatGPT health features
Technology
OpenAI has tapped Karan Singhal, a former Google researcher, to lead its push into smarter health features for ChatGPT.
Since joining in 2024, he has been working on making the AI more accurate and trustworthy for more than 230 million weekly users who turn to it for health advice.
OpenAI says health mistakes dropped 71%
Singhal teamed up with more than 200 doctors to build HealthBench, a tool that checks how well ChatGPT handles medical questions.
OpenAI says flagged mistakes in health answers dropped by 71% in just two months.
Plus, there is now a feature where you can link your health apps or upload medical records so ChatGPT can give you insights tailored just for you.
