OPPO A54 bags FCC and BIS certifications; India launch imminent
OPPO is expected to announce its A54 model sometime in June. In the latest development, the handset (model number CPH2239) has been spotted on FCC and BIS certification sites, confirming its arrival in India. As per the FCC listing, the A54 will come with a 5,000mAh battery, 18W fast-charging, and Android 11-based ColorOS 11 support. Here's our roundup.
The OPPO A54 will be similar to its 5G counterpart that is listed in Japan. It will sport a punch-hole design with a prominent bottom bezel and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will pack a quad camera unit. The handset will have a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The OPPO A54 will pack a quad rear camera setup comprising a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it is likely to offer a 16MP selfie snapper.
The OPPO A54 will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 480 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It will run on Android 11-based ColorOS 11 and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, the device should offer support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
The official pricing and availability details of the OPPO A54 will be announced at the time of the launch, which is expected to happen sometime in June. However, considering the purported specifications, it will be priced at around Rs. 15,000.
