Pop Upi app adds biometrics, Android live, iOS rollout ongoing
Technology
POP, the UPI app made for Gen Z, just rolled out biometric authentication, so you can skip the six-digit PIN and use your fingerprint or Face ID to pay.
The feature is live for Android users and is being rolled out gradually on iOS.
It's designed to cut down on failed payments from PIN mistakes or timeouts, making quick transactions up to ₹5,000 a lot smoother.
About 10,000 users adopt device biometrics
About 10,000 users have already set up biometrics on at least one bank account.
You can use it for Scan and Pay, sending money to friends, shopping at stores, or even checking your balance.
POP promises your fingerprint or face data never leaves your device, so payments get easier without giving up privacy.
