Roblox launches Roblox Kids and Roblox Select accounts in India
Roblox just introduced two account types, Roblox Kids and Roblox Select, to make things safer for anyone under 16.
These accounts use age verification, content ratings, and stronger parental controls.
Following an initial rollout in select markets, including Australia, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and New Zealand, they're now live in India.
Roblox age-based accounts tighten moderation
Accounts are auto-assigned based on your age:
Roblox Kids (for ages five through eight) has chat turned off by default and only lets you play games with the lowest content ratings.
Roblox Select (for ages nine through 15) allows access to slightly more mature games but still keeps things pretty safe.
Both options include tighter moderation, developer checks, and letting parents set screen time limits or manage friend lists.
Plus, Roblox is planning to block users under 16 from sharing or viewing external links across profiles, game pages, Community pages, and Creator Hub listings soon to keep things even more secure.
