Samsung debuts 40,000 nits XR display at Augmented World Expo
Samsung just showed off its latest extended reality (XR) display at Augmented World Expo 2026, and it's seriously bright, up to 40,000 nits.
Thanks to new RGB OLEDoS panels that skip color filters, visuals are way more vibrant and clear.
These panels are twice as bright as last year's and finally make augmented reality glasses usable outdoors without squinting.
Attendees tried AR translation navigation entertainment
At the expo, people tried out augmented reality smart glasses with these tiny screens—think real-time translation, live navigation, and weather updates layered over a city backdrop.
Samsung also demoed The Big Dipper with even bigger panels to show off color accuracy.
And for fun? There were mixed reality K-pop concerts and rhythm games like "Synth Riders" that really popped on these new displays.
