Snap debuts standalone AR glasses specs priced at $2,195
Snap just dropped its first-ever consumer AR glasses, called Specs, at the Augmented World Expo.
They're priced at $2,195 and can run immersive spatial apps totally on their own, no phone or extra gear required.
With Meta's Orion AR glasses also on the way, it looks like the battle for your face is heating up.
Specs weigh 132 g, 51° FOV
Specs weigh just 132gm and come in two sizes for a comfy fit.
The display gives you a wide 51-degree field of view, and the lenses automatically darken in sunlight within 10 seconds.
You get four hours of battery life (up to 20 hours with the charging case), plus fast hand tracking so you can control everything with simple gestures.
Preorders open with $200 refundable deposit
Specs are built for things like 3D navigation, virtual collabs, and playing with Snap's Lens Studio AR content.
Preorders open now with a $200 refundable deposit, and shipping starts fall 2026.
More details on apps and camera features are coming later this year!
