SpaceX Dragon heads home from ISS undocking 12:05pm EDT
Technology
SpaceX's Dragon cargo capsule is heading home from the International Space Station this Tuesday.
It'll undock at 12:05pm EDT, and if you're curious, NASA's got a livestream starting at 11:45am.
The capsule should splash down in the Pacific Ocean near California early Wednesday morning.
Dragon returning scientific samples and hardware
Dragon launched back in May carrying food and science gear for the astronauts.
Now it's bringing home some pretty cool stuff, like bioprinted organ tissue, data on storing cryogenic fuel in space, and even a separator pump from the waste and hygiene compartment.
Fun fact: Dragon is the only ISS cargo ship that survives re-entry; others just burn up on their way down.
