Thinking Machines Lab launches Inkling 2 small, ties Gemini 3.8
Technology
Thinking Machines Lab, started by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, just dropped its latest AI model, Inkling 2 Small, and it's already making waves.
It scored 31 and tied with Gemini 3.8 Flash, challenging Chinese giants like DeepSeek and Moonshot.
Inkling 2 Small reduces hallucination rate
With a massive 594 billion parameters, Inkling 2 Small has seriously cut down on hallucination errors (from 61% to just 27%).
Its automation capabilities also rose by 41%, and it is better at coding (20% boost) compared to its previous version.
While it's priced a bit higher at $0.30 per one million input tokens, the model weights will be released next week.
