    Meet Tronx One: A made in India electric crossover bike

    What's the story

    Tronx Motors, India-based Smartron's subsidiary company, has launched an electric crossover bike in India - the Tronx One. It is essentially a bicycle with an electric motor.

    It is claimed to be the first smart crossover bike in the country and comes at an introductory price of Rs. 49,999 for a limited number of bikes and on pre-orders.

    Notably, its deliveries will start this week.

    Design & Styling

    Tronx One: At a glance

    The Tronx One is a crossover touring e-bike designed for urban commuters.

    The bike is built using Aero grade aluminum alloy and holds a removable battery in the mid-frame, inside a lockable compartment.

    Moreover, the Tronx One also comes with an open utility space that lets you carry small bags and other essentials.

    The bike is available in Magma Red and Pacific Blue colors.

    Motor, power & range

    Tronx One offers a range of 50km on continuous throttle

    The Tronx One crossover bike comes with a 250W motor placed in the rear hub and a removable 36V 13.6Ah Lithium 500W battery.

    On a single charge, the battery pack is rated to deliver a range of 50km on continuous throttle mode and around 75-85km on electronic gear assist mode.

    When riding on electric mode, the bike can reach a top speed of 25kmph.

    Manual mode

    You can simply ride Tronx One like a bicycle also

    The bike comes with three riding modes - Pedal Assist, Thumb Throttle and Walk Assist.

    The Tronx One comes with 6-Speed Shimano Tourney gears, double wall alloy wheel rims, Zoom MASERA 80mm travel front suspension and front and rear electronic brakes.

    As a standard fitment, the bike gets front V-brake and rear disc-brake which can be upgraded to both front and rear discs.

    Tronx One also features a Bluetooth display which comes with an inbuilt calorie tracker and records your cycling history. The bike can also pair with the TBike app to sync information such as range, number of kilometers cycled, number of calories burnt among others features.
