University of Texas at Austin scientists design jacket harvesting water
Technology
Scientists at the University of Texas at Austin have designed a jacket that literally pulls water from the air.
Using advanced fabric, it collects vapor, turns it into liquid, and stores it in detachable collection units, so you can get 400 to 900 milliliters of clean water each day just by wearing it.
Portable jacket suits hikers and campers
The jacket is portable and portable, making it perfect for hikers, campers, or anyone in places where clean water is hard to find.
The tech behind it is up to 10 times more effective than older methods.
Researchers are also working on adding this water-harvesting material to things like tents and backpacks, so staying hydrated outdoors could get a lot easier soon.
