    Expanding its portfolio of smartphones, Chinese tech giant Vivo has launched the all-new Vivo U10 in India. Starting at Rs. 8,990, it is set to go on sale starting September 29 via Amazon. The pocket-friendly handset comes with a waterdrop notched design, gradient finish, triple rear cameras, a solid 5,000mAh battery, and mid-level internals. Here's our roundup.

    First, a look at the Vivo U10

    The Vivo U10 features a familiar waterdrop notched design with thin bezels on the top and bottom, offering 89% screen-to-body ratio. On the rear, the dual-tone gradient finished panel houses vertically stacked triple cameras with LED flash, and a physical fingerprint scanner. Further, the phone sports a 6.35-inch LCD display with an HD+ (720x1544 pixels) resolution.

    For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

    In terms of optics, the Vivo U10 comes with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the handset sports a 16MP shooter for selfies, video calling, and face unlock.

    All the important stuff

    Powering the Vivo U10 is a Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, upto 4GB RAM, and upto 64GB storage. Under the hood, the handset runs Android Pie-based FunTouch OS 9.1 and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Moreover, the phone gets an ultra game mode for gaming lovers wherein you get features such as 4D game vibrations, voice changer, and 'Do Not Disturb' mode.

    Connectivity options and sensor details

    The Vivo U10 offers all latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Further, it gets all standard sensors including accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope, and e-compass.

    Finally, here's a look at the pricing and offers

    The Vivo U10 costs Rs. 8,990 for the entry-level 3GB/32GB model, Rs. 9,990 for the 3GB/64GB variant, and Rs. 10,990 for the top-end model with 4GB/64GB configuration. As for launch offers, buyers can avail 10% discount using SBI cards and benefits worth Rs. 6,000 from Reliance Jio. Lastly, the handset goes up against rivals such as Realme 5, Redmi Note 7S, and Galaxy M10s.
