As an addition to its affordable Y series, Vivo is planning to launch all-new Y17 in India soon. The company has officially listed Y17 on its Indian website, hinting at the smartphone's imminent launch in the country. The Vivo Y17 comes with a dewdrop notched display and slim bottom bezel to offer a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. On the back, the mirror-finish panel houses a triple camera setup and a fingerprint sensor. Also, it has a 6.35-inch HD+ (720 x 1544 pixels) LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9 and 268 ppi density.

In the optics department, the Vivo Y17 features AI-based triple rear cameras comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) main shooter, paired with an 8MP (f/2.2) wide-angle sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Although the wide-angle camera promises 120-degree FOV (field of view), in reality, it captures only 108-degree after accounting for distortion. Up front, the phone has a 20MP (f/2.0) snapper.
