  • Vivo is gearing up to introduce a new variant of its recently-launched Z1x smartphone in India.

    According to 91Mobiles, which has gotten hold of promotional posters of the handset, the Chinese tech giant will soon bring an 8GB RAM variant of the phone.

    However, there is no word on the pricing of the upcoming model as of now.

  • According to reports, the upcoming 8GB RAM variant will also be available in brick and mortar stores, despite the fact that the Vivo 'Z' series was introduced as "online exclusive".

  • As of now, there is no word on the pricing of the upcoming 8GB variant of the Vivo Z1x. However, the handset will be positioned above the 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB models.

    As for the pocket pinch, it is likely to be priced somewhere around Rs. 20,000, given the fact that the 6GB/128GB model of the phone costs Rs. 18,990.

  • As far as its specifications are concerned, the Vivo Z1x comes with a waterdrop notched design with slim bezel at the bottom. On the rear, the eye-catching gradient finished panel houses a trio of sensors and an LED flash.

    The handset features a 6.38-inch AMOLED screen with full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner for authentication.

  • The Vivo Z1x sports a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

    For selfies, video calling, and face unlock, there is a mighty 32MP (f/2.0) front-facing snapper.

    Also, the main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the selfie camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

  • The Vivo Z1x is powered by a Snapdragon 712 octa-core processor, paired with 6GB RAM and upto 128GB of internal storage.

    Under the hood, the phone runs Android Pie-based FunTouch OS 9.1 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support.

    It also gets latest connectivity options including dual-SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, VoLTE, Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
