Xiaomi has reportedly slashed the price of its latest Android One-based smartphone, the Mi A2. According to Gadgets 360, this permanent price cut is effective across all sales channels. Hence, you can now buy Mi A2 for a starting price of Rs. 13,999 as against its original launch price of Rs. 17,499. Here's everything to know about it - specifications, features and price.

The price cut applies to both variants of Mi A2

The 4GB/64GB variant of Mi A2 is now available for Rs. 13,999 (original MRP: Rs. 17,499) while the 6GB/128GB now retails for Rs. 15,999 (original MRP: Rs. 20,500). Notably, last year in November, Xiaomi reduced the prices of Mi A2 by Rs. 1,000 to sell the 4GB/64GB model at Rs. 15,999 and the 6GB/128GB variant at Rs. 18,999.

The Mi A2 gets a dual camera setup with 12MP+20MP Sony sensors and an aperture of f/1.75, phase-detection autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. Up front, the phone gets a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.75 aperture, fixed focal length, and LED flash. Both the front and rear cameras support several AI-powered features such as Scene Recognition, Portrait Mode, Background Bokeh, and Smart Beauty 4.0.

Unfortunately, Mi A2 does not come with a headphone jack

Connectivity options on Mi A2 include 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi802.11a/c, Miracast, IR emitter, and USB Type-C. Sensors on board the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Notably, the phone doesn't have a headphone jack.
