As the successor to its Android One powered Mi A2, Xiaomi is working to launch Mi A3 series of smartphones in India.
And, according to a leak, the Mi A3 and A3 Lite are expected to share the design and specifications with Mi CC 9 series smartphones which are set to debut in China on July 2.
Here are the finer details.
The Mi A3 will reportedly share the same design with Mi CC9. Hence, we expect it to offer a 6.39-inch all-screen AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution, and an on-screen fingerprint sensor.
Further, the Mi A3 Lite is tipped to feature a 6-inch screen with FHD+ AMOLED display and a fingerprint scanner embedded in it- similar to Mi CC9e.
The Mi A3 is expected to house a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 16MP secondary sensor, and another 12MP lens- same as Mi CC9.
Further, like the Mi CC9e, the Mi A3 Lite is tipped to feature a triple lens rear camera setup with a 48MP primary lens, an 8MP secondary lens, and a 5MP third sensor.
In all likelihood, Mi A3 will come with mid-level internals including a Snapdragon 730 chipset, paired with upto 8GB RAM, upto 256GB storage, and a solid 3,970mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the Mi A3 Lite will pack a Snapdragon 710 processor, paired with upto 8GB RAM, upto 128GB storage, and a 3,940mAh battery- similar to Mi CC9e.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Mi CC9 is expected to start at CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 26,200) and Mi CC9e is likely to start at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 16,100).
Hence, we expect the Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite to arrive in India at a price of around Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000, respectively.
