Xreal launches Aura glasses with Android XR and hand tracking
Xreal just dropped its Aura smart glasses, aiming to make extended reality (XR) feel seamless and fun.
Powered by Android XR and Qualcomm's Snapdragon Reality Elite, these lightweight glasses (under 95gm) pack in hand-tracking, six-degrees-of-freedom movement, the X1S Spatial Coprocessor for low-latency spatial display and sensor processing, and smooth multitasking and AI features, basically letting you work or play in a whole new way.
Aura supports Google Play, preorders $99
You can grab regular Android apps from Google Play right on the Aura glasses, plus Xreal is building over 100 XR-specific apps.
Some highlights: Project Hail Mary (in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios), Fallout: Factions (coming later this year), Fox Sports XR for immersive sports watching, Simply Piano XR for music learning with AI help, and ShapesXR for collaborative design.
Preorders are open in the US UK and Japan at $99 before launch this fall, or you can snag a $299 Founder Priority Pass for launch-day delivery and exclusive extras.
