Ben Cutting: News

Standing tall at 1.92 meters, Ben Cutting is a medium-pacer who has made his mark in domestic T20 circuits worldwide. Hailing from Queensland, Cutting made his first-class debut in the 2007-08 season for the Queensland Bulls. His breakout season was 2009-10, wherein he became the leading wicket-taker in the Sheffield Shield tournament. Cutting followed this with another stellar season in 2010-11. His exploits in first-class cricket earned him a spot in the Australian Test team against New Zealand, but he was unable to make it to the first eleven. However, he made his ODI and T20 debuts in 2013 against Sri Lanka, but recurring injuries stopped him from being a regular in the Australian limited-overs sides. Known for his deceptive bouncers and clutch hitting as a lower-order batsman, Cutting has proved to be a valuable asset for various T20 franchises across the world. In 2018, he announced his retirement from first-class and List A cricket to concentrate on T20 cricket. Currently, he plays for the Brisbane Heat in the BBL, the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, and the Quetta Gladiators in the PSL.
