Roma vs Liverpool: Whom to select in your Fantasy XI?
It's going to be a memorable night, as Roma will look to rally their forces against Liverpool. This encounter will determine who will face Real Madrid in the Champions League final. Roma lost the first leg 5-2 but they are a difficult team to beat at home. Plenty of goals are expected, so who should be in your fantasy XI? Here is our guide.
Five man powered midfield, the 3-5-2
The first leg of this fixture turned into a goal fest with seven goals scored in 90 minutes. We expect something similar tonight at the Stadio Olimpico. Hence we have opted for the 3-5-2 formation to extract maximum points out of this XI. The midfield will be doing plenty of work tonight, and the two forwards are likely to benefit from this.
Roberto Firmino and Edin Dzeko
Roma's talisman Edin Dzeko is a no-brainer in this Fantasy XI. If the Italians have to make it to the final, the goals need to come from this man. Considering Roma are playing at home, we expect them to come all guns blazing and Dzeko should be on the score-sheet tonight. Roberto Firmino will be the other forward in the line-up.
De Rossi, Nainggolan, Wijnaldum, Milner and Salah
Roma's midfield will be powered by the relentless energy of Radja Nainggolan, and Daniele De Rossi. These men will do plenty of running on the field tonight. They will be crucial in breaking Liverpool's attack and setting up Dzeko for a goal. Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner and the hottest property in football right now, Mo Salah will complete our midfield.
Van Dijk, Loveren and Manolas
Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren have been stable at the back for the Reds and will be a part of our three-man line-up. Kostas Manolas is never shy about being a part of the action. He scored in both the games against Barcelona. Unfortunately, one was an own goal. Alisson Becker will be the guardian between the sticks.
Captain and vice captain
Edin Dzeko is Roma's best bet of scoring a goal tonight hence he will be our vice-captain. The tall forward will certainly create enough problems for Liverpool's back-line. If the Reds try to tightly mark him, he should open up space for the midfield to make runs in. Mo Salah's accuracy is a definite threat and he will be our captain.
