Premier League: Who will win the title today?

The 2018-19 Premier League is set to end in a dramatic fashion on match-day 38. It has been a two-horse race this season between Manchester City and Liverpool. The two giants see them be separated by one point, besides a four-goal difference. Liverpool face Wolves, whereas, City take on Brighton. Who will win the Premier League title tonight? We decode.

How do things stand right now?

City are top of the proceedings with 95 points under their belt from 37 matches. They have a goal difference of +69. City have been on a fine run to win 13 league games in a row. The Reds, who have won eight matches in a row, have 94 points from 37 matches. They have a goal difference of +65.

What do these two teams need?

A win for City will hand them the Premier League trophy. All they need is to score one more goal than their opponents. Brighton are 17th and it will be a Herculean task for them to upset City. Liverpool need City to drop points and also win their match against Wolves. If both teams win, then City will finish above the Reds.

City go in as the favorites to win the title

City go in as the favorites to win as they have the upper hand. Brighton could struggle to match their intensity. Liverpool have a tricky test against Wolves. The visitors have taken points from the top six throughout the season.

View point: What did the managers say?

"We think about Wolves. You get millions of messages and nobody speaks about the weekend. It's all 'unbelievable' and 'all the best in the final' but we play Wolves now," said Jurgen Klopp. "We're going to play well, knowing it'll be tough. It's better to focus on what we do. If we win, we don't have to look at anything else," said Pep Guardiola.
