    What's the story

England have defeated Bangladesh by 137 runs to get their first win in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.

While Dawid Malan starred with the bat with a career-best 140, Reece Topley ran through Bangladesh's batting order with a four-wicket haul.

The Tigers also made a valiant fight back as Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim slammed fifties.

Here we look at the key stats.

    Summary

How did the game pan out?

Batting first in Dharamsala, England were off to a flying start as openers Bairstow and Malan attacked bowlers from the outset.

While Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow scored fifties, Malan made 140. As a result, England posted 364/9.

In reply, Topley reduced them to 26/3.

Though Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim scored valiant fifties, the Tigers were eventually folded for 227.
