IPL: MI hand SRH their first defeat of the season

Mumbai Indians registered their second victory in the 2017 Indian Premier League as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by four wickets. As MI chased a target of 159, Parthiv Patel put on 39 runs to give a good start to the home team. Nitish Rana and Krunal Pandya then scored 45 and 37 runs respectively to take MI across the finish line.

SRH will look to continue their winning streak

Table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad will be hosted by Mumbai Indians as both the teams will look for another win. SRH have been in tremendous form and have won both of their previous matches, while MI bounced back in the second match, boosting their confidence after their first match loss. It will be an interesting encounter with both the teams in good form.

    Head to head record

Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad have met each other eight times in the past. Both the teams have won four matches each, with MI having an upper hand as they have won both the matches played at Wankhede Stadium.

SRH fail to score big; put 158 runs on board

After getting a good start by Warner and Dhawan, SRH lost wickets and managed to put only 158 runs on the board for eight wickets. Warner and Dhawan put up a partnership of 81-runs. Dhawan scored 48 runs, while Warner scored 49. Ben Cutting put on a cameo to score 20 runs of 10 balls, with no other batsman managed a double digit score.

Three wickets for Bumrah, two for Bhajji

Jaspreet Bumrah was the most successful bowler for MI as he picked up three wickets in four overs at an economy rate of 6.00. Harbhajan Singh bagged the first wicket for Mumbai and ended up his spell with 2 wickets for 23 runs.
