IPL 2019: MI beat DC, here are the records broken

Mumbai Indians continued their winning run as they beat Delhi Capitals at the Kotla in match number 34 of the Indian Premier League 2019. With this win, MI now have 12 points and toppled DC to take the second place. The visitors posted a challenging 168/5 on a sluggish wicket. DC lost their way with the bat in the chase. Here're the records broken.

Mishra gets to 150 IPL scalps, Rabada and Axar impress

Amit Mishra (1/18) now has 150 career IPL wickets. He became only the second bowler in the tournament to achieve the feat after Lasith Malinga (161). Kagiso Rabada (2/38) extended his lead upfront to remain the leading wicket taker of IPL 2019. He now has 19 wickets to his name. Axar Patel (1/17) now has 65 IPL wickets. He equalled Jacques Kallis.

Quinton de Kock gets past 300, Pandya continues his form

Hardik Pandya (32) continued with his run-scoring spree at the death for MI. He now has 218 runs at a strike-rate of 194.64. This is the second best strike-rate in IPL 2019. Quinton de Kock became the eighth batsman this season to surpass the 300-run mark (313). He is also the top run-scorer for MI and 90 runs ahead of Rohit Sharma (223).

Dhawan surpasses Gambhir's record of slamming most IPL fours

Shikhar Dhawan went past Robin Uthappa (4,340) and Chris Gayle (4,346) in terms of career IPL runs. The southpaw surpassed Gautam Gambhir (491) for the most career IPL fours (495).

How did the match pan out?

MI got off to a strong start, but then lost their way from there on. From 57/0, the side got reduced to 104/4. It was left to Pandya brothers Hardik and Krunal, who added 54 runs between them. Their cameos helped MI to get past 160. In reply, DC lost Dhawan in the seventh over and then MI hit back to take regular scalps.
