    What's the story

New Zealand's fast bowler Matt Henry has been ruled out of the ongoing T20I series against Pakistan.

The decision comes as he continues his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury sustained during the 2025 Champions Trophy.

The injury happened while attempting to take a catch in New Zealand's semifinal clash against South Africa, although Henry managed to bowl two overs post-injury.

    Team changes

Replacement and squad updates for New Zealand

Henry was originally named in the T20I squad for the last two matches of the series against Pakistan.

However, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has confirmed that he has been withdrawn from further participation.

In his place, pacer Zak Foulkes will be replacing him in the squad.

Will O'Rourke has also been retained for the matches after being called up for the first three games earlier, as Kyle Jamieson won't be part of those matches.

    Series update

    Pakistan's T20I series comeback and record-breaking chase

The five-match series currently stands at 2-1 in favor of New Zealand against Pakistan.

The Pakistani side staged a stunning comeback in the third match by creating a world record for the fastest 200-plus chase in T20Is.

They chased down New Zealand's total of 205 runs in just 16 overs, with nine wickets to spare, shattering South Africa's record of chasing down similar scores in 17.4 overs.

    Star performance

    Hasan Nawaz's record-breaking century leads Pakistan's chase

Hasan Nawaz was the star performer for Pakistan in their record chase. He scored the fastest century by a Pakistani in T20I cricket, hitting his maiden hundred off just 44 balls.

Nawaz's 105 not out off 45 balls broke Babar Azam's record of a 49-ball ton.

Captain Salman Ali Agha also played a crucial role in the run-chase with his 51 runs off 31 balls.
