Kyle Jamieson: News
Standing tall at 6ft 8in, Kyle Jamieson is the tallest cricketer New Zealand has ever had. A right-arm medium pacer who is no slouch with the bat down the order, Jamieson has proved to be a valuable asset for New Zealand across all three formats. Hailing from Auckland, Jamieson made a name for himself while playing for Canterbury, though. He made his first-class debut for Canterbury in 2014. Jamieson was unleashed in New Zealand's domestic T20 tournament. He made his debut in the 2016-17 season, but his best season came in 2018-2019. In a match against Auckland, he took six wickets for seven runs which is the fourth-best bowling figure in T20 cricket. In the same season, he took 22 wickets in the tournament and finished as the leading wicket-taker. Jamieson had a great start to his international career, with him being named the player of the match on his ODI debut against India in 2020. In his second Test match, he took five wickets and showed that he could shine equally with the white ball and red ball. In the 2021 World Test Championship final against India, he was named player of the match.
