Messi hopes Neymar won't join Real Madrid

Despite winning La Liga with a comfortable margin, Barcelona's Lionel Messi believes it would be a massive blow to his side if his former team-mate Neymar Jr. opts to join Real Madrid from PSG. Neymar was a part of Barcelona's fantastic 3 and had won the Champions League and two La Liga titles during his stint with the Catalan giants.

Messi is worried Neymar will make Real Madrid stronger

"It would be terrible, because of all that Ney means to Barcelona. If he ends up at Real Madrid it would be a major blow to us. And on a footballing level, Madrid would be much stronger than they already are" Messi told TyC Sports.

Neymar has been linked with Real Madrid for months

Neymar parted ways with Barcelona last August and signed for PSG for a world record fee of €222 million. Despite enjoying a fantastic start to his life in Paris, media reports claimed that the Brazilian isn't happy with the Ligue 1 champions. He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for several months now.

PSG are '2000%' sure Neymar will stay

PSG are '2000%' confident of retaining Neymar, who is currently recovering from a foot injury. If Real Madrid have acquire the services of the Brazilian, they will have to do it soon since a fantastic world cup campaign for Neymar could see his price soar. Brazil, along with Spain and Germany, are the favorites to win the World Cup.
