Harry Kane's stoppage-time goal gave Tottenham a superb 3-2 win over Manchester City in the Premier League. Kane nodded in Dejan Kulusevski's cross in the 95th minute to hand Spurs a dramatic win. The three points helps Spurs in their push for a top-four berth especially after Arsenal won 2-1 versus struggling Brentford. Meanwhile, Liverpool beat Norwich City 3-1. Here's more.

    Why does this story matter?

Tottenham won late on in the game for the second time in recent times. They had earlier sealed a 3-2 win over Leicester City, being 2-1 down. And now, another dramatic win unfolded. This was massive three points for Spurs. Meanwhile, City dropping points is a bonus for Liverpool. The Reds are six points adrift with a game in hand.

How did the match pan out?

Son Heung-min squared the ball for Kulusevski, who scored an early goal for Tottenham. City leveled after Hugo Lloris spilled Raheem Sterling's cross and Ilkay Gundogan scored. Kane ran onto Son's cross to fire past Ederson from close range to give Spurs a 2-1 lead. He had another strike ruled out for offside. Riyad Mahrez equalized late on before Kane scored the winner.

    Records scripted by Kane

As per Opta, Kane's winner timed at 94:25, was the latest winning goal scored against Manchester City in the Premier League since Michael Owen for Manchester United in September 2009 (95:27). As per Squawka Football, Kane has scored against a side managed by Pep Guardiola for the first time in his career. Kane has reached 173 Premier League goals, including seven this season.

    Records scripted by Tottenham

Antonio Conte is the first Spurs manager to beat Guardiola's Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Tottenham have also done the double against the reigning champions. They have become just the fourth side to do the league double over Guardiola's City after Chelsea (2016-17), Manchester United (2019-20), and Wolves (2019-20). Tottenham also ended City's 15-game unbeaten run in the PL this season.

City suffer a rare loss; Spurs gain big

City have 63 points from 26 games. They suffered a third league defeat this season. After three successive losses, Spurs sealed a much needed win. They have 39 points from 23 games and are placed seventh.

Key results in the Premier League

Here are the key results: West Ham 1-1 Newcastle, Arsenal 2-1 Brentford, Aston Villa 0-1 Watford, Brighton 0-3 Burnley, Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea, Liverpool 3-1 Norwich City, Southampton 2-0 Everton, Man City 2-3 Tottenham.
