Premier League, Manchester City vs Chelsea: Preview, Dream11 and more
Title holders Manchester City are set to host an in-form Chelsea team in gameweek 13 of the Premier League 2019-20 season. The Citizens, who suffered a 1-3 defeat against Liverpool in gameweek 12, are currently placed fourth in the league table. Chelsea are on a fine run as they are above City at the moment. Here's the complete match preview.
City goal-keeper Ederson has returned back to training following a muscular problem. He is in line to face the Blues. Bernardo Silva is set to miss the match owing to suspension. For Chelsea, Callum Hudson-Odoi is out due to a hamstring problem. Meanwhile, mid-fielder Jorginho returns after a suspension. Christian Pulisic is back in training after a hip injury.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said his side will keep trying. "Now we have two options - give up or not give up. We are not going to win, maybe, but we are not going to give up." Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is wary of City. "Anyone can go there, play at their best and still lose so I won't be making huge judgements."
Ederson leads the line in goal in this Dream11 side. Kyle Walker and Cesar Azpilicueta are the full-backs. John Stones and Fernandinho are the central defenders. Mateo Kovacic and Kevin De Bruyne (captain) are the mid-fielders. Willian and Raheem Sterling provide the width in attack. Youngster Mason Mount is the number 10. In-form Tammy Abraham (vice-captain) is the lone striker upfront.
City have beaten Chelsea in five of the past six meetings across all competitions. Chelsea have gone on to lose three of their last four EPL away games against City. The champions are one win away from registering the mark of 400 in EPL. The Blues are chasing eight consecutive away games win across all competitions this season.
The match will be held at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. One can watch the game live on the Star Sports Network and stream the same on Hotstar (paid subscription). The match is scheduled to start at 11:00 PM IST. Both teams are in with a chance in this tie. However, City have an edge at home against The Blues, who somehow fail here.
