    Nadal lifts record 10th French Open

    Rafael Nadal defeated Stan Wawrinka 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 to win the 2017 French Open title for the tenth time in his career.

    He became the first man to win the same Grand Slam for the tenth time.

    With a total of 15 Grand Slam titles, he is only behind Roger Federer (18) in the most number of Slams won.

    Hamilton wins Canadian Grand Prix

    Britain's Lewis Hamilton registered his sixth career win at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday and also closed in on Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in the 2017 driver rankings.

    Claiming his record 65th pole position, Hamilton dominated the race to register 56th race win of his career.

    It was his third win this season and third straight win in Canada.

    Golden State Warriors are new NBA champions

    The Golden State Warriors defeated Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1 to become the new champions of the NBA.

    With a 3-1 lead after four games, the Warriors won the fifth game 129-120 to reclaim their top spot in the NCB summit clash.

    Kevin Durant scored his career high 39-points in the game and was named the Finals Most Valuable Player for 2017.

    Indian shooters claim gold

    Jitu Rai and Heena Sidhu clinched gold in the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rife/Pistol stage in Azerbaijan, defeating Russia 7-6 in the finals of 10m mixed team air pistol event.

    Kohli rises to top rank in ICC ODI batsman ranking

    Indian skipper Virat Kohli leaped ahead of David Warner and AB de Villiers to become the number one ranked ODI batsman in the ICC rankings.

    With unbeaten knocks of 81 and 76 against Pakistan and South Africa respectively in the ICC Champions Trophy, Kohli leapfrogged to the top position after entering the tournament placed behind the two batsmen.

    Hockey World League semi-finals and Indonesia Open

    The Hockey World League semi-finals will be played from 15th June to 25th June. India will face Scotland on 15th, Canada on 17th, Pakistan on 18th and Netherlands on 20th.

    In badminton, the Indonesian Open is in progress, with Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu, H. S. Prannoy and Srikanth Kidambi already through in the second round matches of the USD1,000,000 prize money tournament.
