In Guwahati in the first ODI, Rohit smashed 152* and also added 246 runs with Kohli for the second wicket. He hit 15 fours and 8 sixes in the match, as India won the tie by eight wickets. Sharma got his tally to 194 sixes in ODIs and is currently the third highest six-hitter amongst Indian batsmen. He could now equal Sachin (195 sixes).

If Rohit gets going in the second ODI against West Indies, he could not only go past Sachin but some other legends in the mix as well. He needs six to equal former New Zealand batsman Baz (200) and a total of 10 to equal AB as well. In Guwahati, he surpassed former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly (190).
