In a late twist, veteran cricketer Rohit Sharma has been added to the Mumbai squad for the first two matches of the 2025 Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT). The team will be captained by Shardul Thakur and include players like Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer Khan, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Rohit's participation confirmed amid squad changes
There were speculations about Rohit missing the first two matches of the VHT, but he later confirmed his availability, PTI reported. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and selection committee had earlier informed all centrally contracted players to play a minimum of two rounds in the VHT. After this tournament, Rohit will participate in an ODI series against New Zealand starting January 11.
