Football: Aguero, Lewandowski on the move?
The transfer market is heating up with some of the biggest names set to be on the move this summer. Robert Lewandowski has thrown his future in the air and Chelsea goal-keeper Courtois has suitors. Barcelona's Dembele is also moving and Manchester City's Aguero is wanted by his former club. Here are the top transfer rumors from across Europe.
Robert Lewandowski has put several clubs on alert after telling Bayern Munich that he wants to part ways with the German giants. Chelsea are reportedly keen to acquire the services of the Polish striker, who could cost them almost £80 million. Chelsea's owner Roman Abramovich shares a good relationship with Lewandowski's agent Pini Zahavi.
Paris Saint Germain's new manager Thomas Tuchel is keen on signing Barcelona forward Dembele. Dembele played under Tuchel at Dortmund. With Barcelona making a move for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, they may be open to the option of off-loading Dembele. Notably, the Ligue 1 champions can easily afford the transfer fee of the 21-year-old.
Reports in Spain claim that Chelsea goal-keeper Thibaut Courtois might part ways with the Blues as Liverpool and Real Madrid line up a massive offer for the Belgian. Liverpool want a replacement for Karius after his nightmarish performance in the Champions League finale. On the other hand, Real Madrid have been looking for a upgrade for quite sometime.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is keen to bring back Sergio Aguero to Madrid as he faces the possibility of losing Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona this summer. Aguero is slowly losing his clout at Manchester City with Gabriel Jesus being Pep Guardiola's preferred striker. Given this scenario, Aguero could consider a move back to his former club.
According to reports in France, Liverpool have reportedly made a £53 million bid for Lyon forward Fekir. However, Lyon are not convinced with the transfer fee. They are considering to wait until the FIFA World Cup gets underway as they hope of getting a better offer. Fekir will be a part of France's squad in Russia.
FA Cup winners Chelsea have identified Roma goal-keeper Alisson Becker as the number one target to replace Thibaut Courtois at the club. Courtois has refused to sign a new contract with the club and hence they would prefer to sell him and sign the Roma custodian. Alisson could cost Chelsea a hefty sum of £60 million.
Serie A champions Juventus are keen on reuniting with Alvaro Morata and have offered Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea as a part of an exchange deal to land the Spaniard. Alvaro has endured a poor run at Chelsea since his move from Real Madrid. However, Juventus are still keen on the striker who starred for them during his spell from 2014 to 2016.
Real Madrid will offer Gareth Bale a new contract and look to fend off interest from Manchester United in the Welshman. Bale wanted a move away from Madrid in exchange of more game time. However, with Zidane no more in-charge of the Los Blancos this could bring a change in his fortune. Madrid will offer him a new deal within the next two weeks.
