Virat Kohli returns to India for South Africa ODI series

Veteran Indian batter Virat Kohli has returned to India ahead of their three-match ODI series against South Africa. The series is set to start on November 30 in Ranchi. Kohli was spotted at Mumbai airport as fans thronged around him for a picture. The former Indian captain, who has retired from Test and T20I cricket, last played for India in the Australia ODI series last month.

Kohli's last ODI appearance was the Sydney encounter against Australia, which India won. However, it was a dead rubber as India had lost the first two ODIs. Kohli, who recorded two successive ducks, shone at Sydney Cricket Ground with an unbeaten 74 off 81 balls. He added 168 runs with Rohit Sharma, helping India chase down 237. The innings was reminiscent of his trademark chasing style.
