Best playing XI of 2018 IPL

2018 IPL has been phenomenal with some last-over nail-biting thrillers. We have also seen several mind-blowing performances with the bat and the ball. Brilliant death over bowling has been equally well complimented with quality big hitting. While we await the champion of the 2018 edition, here is the best playing XI of the tournament.

    Ambati Rayudu and KL Rahul

Ambati Rayudu has been Chennai's stand-out batsman this season. The right-handed batsman has scored 586 runs at an average of 41.85 and a strike rate of 153.00. The other opener of this XI is KL Rahul. The Punjab batsman has been phenomenal this season, slamming 659 runs at an average of 54.91 and a strike rate of 158.41.

    Kane Williamson and Rishabh Pant

Kane Williamson is the Orange Cap holder with 688 runs in 16 matches. Williamson has scored at an average of 52.92. He has hit eight 50+ scores this term. We have selected Williamson as captain of this XI. Rishabh Pant has been the only highlight of Delhi's season. The southpaw scored 684 runs at an average of 52.61 and a strike rate of 173.60

    MS Dhoni is the wicket-keeper

Chennai Super Kings captain Dhoni has been destructive with the bat. The right-handed batsman has scored 455 runs at a staggering average of 75.83 and a strike rate of 150.66. Dhoni is just 7 runs short of reaching his highest run-tally in a single season.

    Sunil Narine and Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya has scored 260 runs at an average of 28.88 and a strike rate of 133.33. Further, Pandya was MI's best bowler this season with 18 wickets under his belt at an economy of 8.92. Narine claimed 17 wickets at an economy of 7.65 and scored 357 runs at an average of 22.31 and a strike rate of 189.89.

Rashid Khan has been the most valuable player

Rashid Khan is undoubtedly the best spinner of this season. The Afghan leg-spinner has claimed 21 wickets at an average of 20.66 while conceding runs at an economy of 6.78. Rashid has been a live wire on the field and has taken some brilliant catches this term. He also proved his worth with the bat in the Qualifier 2 against Kolkata.

    Siddarth Kaul and Andrew Tye

Sunrisers Hyderabad's Siddarth Kaul is the best uncapped bowler of this edition. The speedster has bagged 21 wickets this season while giving away runs at an economy of 8.00. Andrew Tye is the Purple Cap holder with 24 wickets to his name averaging at 18.66. The notable achievement is that Tye has bagged 3 four-wicket hauls this season.

Umesh Yadav has been the impact bowler this season

Umesh has been lethal, bagging 20 wickets at an average of 20.90 while conceding runs at an economy of 7.86. The pacer was Kohli's go-to man. Umesh picked most of his wickets in the opening power-play of the game. His impact has been vital.
