Star Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal missed out on his third double-century in Test cricket. The 23-year-old was dismissed on 175 on the second day of the second Test against West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Resuming the day at 173*, the southpaw could not add much to his tally. Nevertheless, Jaiswal scripted numerous records during his stay. Here are his stats.

Batting first, India were off to a fine start with openers KL Rahul (38) and Jaiswal adding 58 runs. The latter was then involved in a defining 193-run stand with Sai Sudharsan (87). Jaiswal also dominated a 74-run partnership with skipper Shubman Gill en route to his brilliant 175. His brilliance powered India past 350 on Day 2 morning.

Javed Miandad, Graeme Smith, Alastair Cook, and Kane Williamson also had seven centuries each. No other opener has scored even five Test tons since Jaiswal's Test debut in July 2023.
