In a shocking incident in Rangpur, Bangladesh, two men allegedly killed a Hindu family of four after being confronted over drug use on their rooftop. The victims were identified as retired schoolteacher Ganapati Chakraborty (65), his wife Pritilata (50), daughter Agami (23), and son Priyam (12). The suspects, cousins Mughdho and Siddhartha, were arrested after a joint investigation by the Rangpur Metropolitan Police and other agencies.

Suspects allegedly used yaba on Ganapati's rooftop

The suspects allegedly entered Ganapati's rooftop through a neighboring building and used Yaba, a potent illicit drug, according to a report by India Today.

When Ganapati confronted them, they strangled him with a gamchha. His wife Pritilata was also killed when she came to investigate the commotion.

Priyam was targeted possibly due to his acquaintance with Siddhartha's younger brother Apurba.
