    What's the story

In a bizarre incident, a driver in China jumped off an overpass to avoid a drink driving test. But that's neither funny nor the worst part.

It is strange because he was completely sober and could have easily passed the test. Much ado about nothing!

The incident took place in Xuzhou city of China's Jiangsu province.

A video of the incident has gone viral.

    The fear

Man drank the night before, was scared to fail test

The video showed the man quietly abandoning his car when he spotted the police vehicles approaching.

After failing to get a cab, he jumped down from the overpass.

He later explained to the police that he had been drinking the night before and was afraid to fail the breath-test.

But, he was found with zero alcohol content in his blood at the hospital.

    Comments

Netizens filled social media with amusing comments on the video

Although the man didn't go behind bars (he never had to), he broke his leg.

Meanwhile, the funny video has gone insanely viral in China, getting millions of views.

It has also been getting a plethora of funny comments as netizens just couldn't stop laughing.

"Hahahhahahha overthinking!" said one person on Facebook, while another wrote, "Better safe than sorry I guess."
