Gangster vs. gangster: Bishnoi's aide shot; Rohit Godara claims attack
What's the story
Rohit Godara, a former member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for shooting Hari Boxer, an aide of Bishnoi. In a Facebook post, Godara said he and Canada-based Indian gangster Goldy Brar planned the attack in California. One of Boxer's associates was killed on the spot, while another was hospitalized. However, Boxer managed to escape from the scene.
Threat issued
We will not spare him, warns Godara
In his post, Godara warned Boxer that he would not be spared. "He may hide in any corner of the earth, but we will not spare him! The one who considered (Lawrence Bishnoi) his father and was speaking abusive words against us, has no standing in our presence! The one whom some people consider their idol is the biggest traitor on this earth! It may take time, but no one will be forgiven!" the post read.
Accusations made
Godara accused Bishnoi of working with American agency
The rivalry between these two gangs has been intensifying in recent weeks. Last month, Godara accused Bishnoi of betrayal, alleging he worked with an American agency and leaked information. He claimed Bishnoi teamed up with the agency to protect his brother Anmol and now shares intelligence on India. Godara also alleged that Bishnoi plans to attack Bollywood actor Salman Khan for publicity.
Media caution
NIA on manhunt for Godara and Brar
In his post, Godara cautioned the media not to associate him or his gang with Bishnoi's. He said they have no connection with each other anymore. This comes as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and multiple state police units are on a manhunt for both Godara and Brar. Godara was a member of the Bishnoi Gang. However, he abandoned it a few months ago and now operates his own gang with Brar.
