Here's how much the 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade will cost

Japanese automaker Honda has revealed the pricing of its flagship motorcycle, the 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, in the UK. The liter-class sports tourer, offered in two variants: standard and SP, is reportedly available at a starting price of GBP 19,999 (approximately Rs. 18.8 lakh). Notably, the motorcycle is likely to hit Indian roads sometime in 2020. Here's everything to know.

More details about the pricing of the motorcycle

As mentioned before, the entry-level CBR1000RR-R Fireblade is priced at GBP 19,999 (approximately Rs. 18.8 lakh), while the more premium SP variant, which gets comparatively better braking and suspension elements, costs GBP 23,499 (approximately Rs. 22 lakh).

Here's what the 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade offers

The 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade sits on an aluminum twin-spar frame and features a semi-faired sporty design with angular-looking side fairings, a transparent windshield, blacked-out alloy wheels, and an attractive paint job. The motorcycle comes with stepped-up seat to offer a better riding position, an upswept exhaust, and muscular fuel tank. Further, it offers a 5-inch full-color TFT panel and an all-LED setup for lighting.

    Power and performance

The 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade draws power from a 999cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC engine which is capable of producing 215bhp of maximum power at 14,500rpm and 113Nm of peak torque at 12,500rpm. The transmission duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by a 6-speed manual gearbox and a hydraulic clutch with assist slipper.

What about safety and suspension setup?

The 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade comes equipped with Nissin's disc brakes (Brembo-sourced brakes on SP variant) on both front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS as standard. To handle suspension duties, the standard model houses Showa's telescopic forks up front and a monoshock suspension on the rear. However, the more premium SP model offers Ohlins' electronic suspension package on both ends.
