2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R gets a new color option

Kawasaki India has introduced a new color variant of its popular sports bike, the Ninja ZX-10R. Priced at Rs. 13.99 lakh, the new model gets a couple of design changes. However, it retains the mechanical specifications and features of the standard ZX-10R. Meanwhile, the deliveries for new model will commence from October this year. Here's our roundup.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R: At a glance

The new model of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R features a fully-faired sporty design and looks very similar to the standard variant. However, the new model gets a nice contrasting effect, thanks to golden highlights on fairings, fuel tank, and tail section. As for electronic features, the new model gets a fully-digital instrument console and an all-LED lighting setup, same as the KRT edition.

    Power and performance

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is powered by a 998cc oil-cooled DOHC engine which is capable of producing 203PS of power at 13,500rpm and 115Nm of peak torque at 11,200rpm. For transmission duties, the motorcycle gets a six-speed manual gearbox with a quick shifter. Further, it has a top-speed of 300kmph and it can do a 0-100kmph sprint in under 3 seconds.

    On the road

The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R comes equipped with Brembo-sourced 330mm disc brakes up front and 220mm disc brakes on the rear. The motorcycle also gets dual-channel ABS, traction control, three riding modes, and cornering management system for better road handling. For suspension duties, it gets Sachs' fully-adjustable forks up front and a monoshock unit on the rear.

Finally, here's a look at the pricing

In terms of pricing, the new variant of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R costs same as the standard model i.e almost Rs. 14 lakh. At this price point, it goes up against rivals such as Ducati Panigale V4, Suzuki GSX-R1000, and BMW S1000RR in the country.
