    Ahead of its global unveiling, 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 teased

    What's the story

    Suzuki is all set to unveil the 2020 edition of its flagship sports bike, the V-Strom 1000, at the upcoming EICMA show which will commence from November 5.

    And now, just days ahead of the global debut, the company has shared a teaser video on its social media accounts, giving us an idea of how the upcoming motorcycle will look like.

    Design

    2020 V-Strom 1000: At a glance

    Going by the teaser video, the 2020 V-Strom 1000 will sport a semi-faired design with a Suzuki DR Big-inspired angular and sportier profile.

    The upcoming model will now feature split seats, a taller windshield, an LED headlamp, and a fully-digital instrument console as against the digital-analog unit on the outgoing model.

    Power and performance

    Meanwhile, the details about engine specifications and power figures of the motorcycle are not known as of now. However, according to reports, the company might launch the sports tourer with Euro 5-compliant engine.

    Presently, the V-Strom 1000 is powered by a 1,037cc motor, which is capable of producing 101PS of power and 101Nm of peak torque.

    Safety

    2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1000: On the road

    On the safety front, the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 will come equipped with disc brakes on both the wheels, along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking.

    The suspension duties on the motorcycle will be handled by conventional telescopic forks on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear.

    When will it come to India?

    The 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 will make its global debut at the upcoming EICMA show and is expected to arrive in international markets by next year. As for India availability, there is no official word but we expect it to arrive sometime in 2020 itself.
