Audi Q7 Black Edition launched at Rs. 82 lakh

German automaker Audi has launched Audi Q7 Black Edition in India at Rs. 82.15 lakh. Limited to just 100 units, the new model comes with a sportier and aggressive look, thanks to the Black Styling Package. However, mechanically, it remains the same as the standard Audi Q7. Meanwhile, the bookings for this edition are live via company's dealerships across the country. Here's more.

Audi Q7 Black Edition: At a glance

Up front, the Audi Q7 Black Edition comes with a premium sporty look featuring glossy black grille with company's badging, and lateral air-intakes. The car sports black-colored strips on the doors and gets a blacked-out treatment on B-pillars, roof rails, ORVMs, as well as alloy wheels. Further, it houses an all-LED lighting setup for headlamps, indicators, and taillights.

    Inside the cabin

Inside, the new Audi Q7 features a premium five-seater cabin with ventilated seats wrapped in leather and a heated steering wheel with cruise control. The SUV features Audi's Virtual Cockpit system and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with support for navigation and smartphone connectivity. Further, it also gets features like ambient lighting, three zone automatic climate control, and optional wireless charging support.

    Power and performance

The Audi Q7 is offered in 2.0-liter petrol and 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine options. The petrol unit is capable of producing 248bhp of power and 370Nm of peak torque, while the diesel mill churns out 245bhp and 600Nm. For transmission duties, both engines get an eight-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all the wheels.

Audi Q7 Black Edition: On the road

The Audi Q7 Black Edition comes with disc brakes on all wheels along with ABS, EBD, and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) for improved road handling. The car offers upto six airbags and rear sensors as well as a rear camera for parking assistance. Moreover, the SUV also gets a host of driver assist features including hill-hold assist, lane-change assist, and collision avoidance assist.

    And, what about pricing?

As far as pricing is concerned, the Audi Q7 Black Edition is priced at Rs. 82.15 lakh in India. At this price point, it goes up against rivals such as BMW X5, Volvo XC90, and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class.
