Delhi mandates 3-year hydro-test for CNG cylinders after fatal accident

Delhi's government just rolled out a new rule: if you drive a CNG vehicle, your cylinder needs a hydro-test every three years.
Starting now, CNG stations will turn away cars without an up-to-date hydro-test certificate.
This move comes after a tragic accident at a Delhi CNG station on August 19 that left three workers dead and three injured.
Drivers must carry PESO hydro-test certificate
Hydro-testing basically checks if your cylinder can handle high pressure without cracking or leaking.
It's done at special PESO-approved centers, where the cylinder gets tested with water at high pressure.
You will need to keep the certificate in your car, and IGL stations are already checking for it.
Officials say sticking to this rule is key for everyone's safety at refueling spots.
