Kia Seltos hybrid coming to India by 2027
Kia is bringing a hybrid version of its popular Seltos SUV to India by late 2026 or early 2027.
This move follows the launch of another hybrid SUV, likely the Sorento, and will give Indian buyers more eco-friendly options in the Seltos lineup.
What's under the hood?
The Seltos hybrid is expected to pair a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor—think better mileage.
Kia plans to make key parts like batteries and motors locally, which should help keep prices competitive.
For reference, today's Seltos ranges from ₹11.25 lakh to over ₹20 lakh.
Why does this matter?
Kia wants hybrids to make up at least 25% of its total sales by 2030, in line with trends and regulations encouraging cleaner cars.
With this launch, Kia is stepping up against rivals like Tata Safari and MG Hector—so if you're eyeing a mid-size SUV that's easier on fuel (and maybe your conscience), it might be worth waiting for this one.
