KTM RC 450 officially revealed—China gets an exclusive new sportbike
KTM's new RC 450 has been revealed through Chinese approval documents, reportedly sharing its platform with CFMoto.
The bike showed up in Chinese approval documents and, despite earlier rumors about an "RC490," it's rocking a bold '450' badge on its orange fairing.
Built on the CFMoto 450SR-S platform, this sporty machine is expected to launch only in China next year.
Key specs and what stands out
The RC 450 packs a punch with its 449cc parallel-twin engine putting out 56hp—just a bit more than CFMoto's version—and hits speeds up to 195km/h.
It's lighter than the CFMoto at just 168kg and comes loaded with WP Apex suspension plus a steering damper for serious track vibes.
Its aggressive design borrows cues from KTM's bigger bikes, but if you're outside China, don't get your hopes up—it's not coming to India, Europe, or the US for now due to brand strategy and optics under Bajaj's management.
