Lucid Motors recalls over 4,000 Gravity SUVs after welding defects

Lucid Motors is recalling over 4,000 Gravity SUVs after finding that some second-row seat belt anchors weren't welded properly, a problem spotted during safety tests in January 2026.
This could make the belts less safe in a crash.
The mistake happened when a supplier changed its process without telling Lucid.
Lucid Motors will inspect vehicles
Gravity SUVs made before February 14, 2026, are among the affected vehicles.
Lucid will check each car and either add a bracket or swap out the whole seat if needed.
The supplier has switched back to Lucid's original specs, and the company is working with US safety officials to get everything sorted smoothly.
