    What's the story

Homegrown automaker Mahindra has introduced a special edition of the XUV700 in India, named the Blaze Edition.

The limited edition model is priced from ₹24.24 lakh (ex-showroom), which is ₹25,000 higher than the range-topping AX7 L variant it's based on.

The production of this exclusive trim will be capped at 2,500 units, to maintain its uniqueness and exclusivity.

    Pricing breakdown

    Variants and pricing

The Blaze Edition is available in both petrol and diesel variants.

The petrol automatic 7-seater model is priced at ₹25.54 lakh, while the diesel automatic 7-seater carries a price tag of ₹26.4 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

The base price of ₹24.24 lakh applies to the diesel manual transmission 7-seater variant of this special edition car.

    Highlights

Unique features of the XUV700 Blaze Edition

The Blaze Edition stands out with its dual-tone 'Matte Blaze Red' exterior paint and a Napoli Black roof.

It flaunts blacked-out alloy wheels, ORVMs, and a front grille for a distinctive look.

The SUV's overall stance is further accentuated by blacked-out B, C, and D pillars.

Inside, the all-black cabin sports red accents on elements like AC vents and the center console, along with red stitching on the seat upholstery.

    Performance

    Engine and transmission details

Under the hood, the XUV700 Blaze Edition continues to be powered by either a 2.0-liter mStallion turbo-petrol or a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine.

Both mills are available with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The Blaze Edition will be offered exclusively in a front-wheel-drive setup and in a 7-seat configuration.

The petrol model is only up for grabs with an automatic transmission, while the diesel variant offers both manual and automatic gearbox options.
