March 2026: Mahindra 25%, Hyundai 6.3%, MG almost 19% sales
March 2026 was a big month for Indian carmakers: Mahindra's sales jumped 25% from last year, reaching over 60,000 vehicles.
Hyundai set its own March record with more than 55,000 cars sold (up 6.3%), while MG saw a healthy boost too, selling over 6,000 units (almost 19% higher than last year).
Clearly, more people are getting behind the wheel of these brands.
Mahindra 20% FY sales, Hyundai 166,000
Looking at the bigger picture: Mahindra wrapped up the financial year with domestic sales up by 20%, crossing the 650,000 mark.
Their light commercial vehicles also did well, up by double digits both for March and the full year.
Hyundai kept momentum going too, moving over 166,000 cars in just the last quarter despite some prevailing geopolitical uncertainties.
Hyundai credit their growth to better products and a sharper focus on customer experience.
Looks like those upgrades are paying off!
